As part of the game, Corden recalled the first time he and Cranston met in a Los Angeles restaurant, when Cranston apparently mistook him for a waiter.

“My story is very emotional for me right now. For my story is the first time I ever met Bryan Cranston, which was a huge moment in my life,” Corden told co-hostsJenna Bush HagerandHoda Kotb. “My wife and I — she was my girlfriend at the time — we’d gone to Los Angeles for the first time in our lives. And we spent the entire morning watching season 2 ofBreaking Bad.”

After watching the show with wifeJulia Carey, Corden told Bush Hager, 42, and Kotb, 59, that the couple “then decide to leave our room and go for lunch.”

“I go for lunch and who walks in the restaurant but Bryan Cranston. To this day, I have never been as starstruck as I was in that moment,” he added.

While Corden may have been starstruck, Cranston was not. “Did you go up and say hello to him?” Hager asked.

“I went over, and I said ‘Bryan,'” Corden recalled, to which Cranston interrupted, “And then I immediately said, ‘Could I have some more coffee?'”

“‘I’ve been watching the show this morning, your performance is incredible,'” Corden recalled of his ice-breaker to Cranston. “And he said, ‘Thank you, can I get a Diet Coke with no ice?'”

“I want to have more life experiences, I want to travel, I want to feel it,” he said. “When you’re working, I’ve been working for the last 25 years nonstop and that’s not real life. And I really do feel like I want more real life experiences. I want to adjust the relationship that the industry has with me and also that it’s created for my marriage. I just want to kind of level that out and experience something new.”
