Disney ’s most heroic chipmunk are getting their own movie , and it ’s go to be strange .
As shared by The Hollywood Reporter , a film adaptation ofRescue Rangers , starring Chip and Dale , is in the works , with Akiva Schaffer bond to manoeuvre . If that name ’s conversant , it ’s probably because Schaffer , alongside Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone , is one third of spoof band Lonely Island .
The nature of the film is unreadable , except that it ’s being draw as a meta and ego - referential take on the source material , which initially saw Chip and Dale opening up a investigator agency — a direction that , according to THR , the film will not be take . The hand has been written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand . It will apparently be a live - military action / CG loan-blend , cast toon chipmunks in the existent universe .
