Dell ’s XPS 13 has been one of the best ultraportable laptop computer on the market for year now . It ’s slick , it ’s stylish , and it ’s often brassy than an tantamount Mac . But at CES 2019 , there ’s a new revamped XPS 13 , and while I ’ve only had a shortsighted time to play around with it , this clip it feels like Dell might have just created the staring 13 - column inch notebook .
The most obvious upgrade on the new model is its micro HD webcam , which measures just 2.25 mm . And while we jazz these new and improved webcams would eventually show up on an XPS 13 after Dell instal thefeature on some of its mid - range notebooks last fall , they come along smaller in person than I look to . A quick comparison between the new and older cameras show just how much space savings Dell has attain , and if you take a moment to step back and look at it from afar , the webcam basically disappear into the organization ’s already tiny top bezel .

Elsewhere , the new XPS sports a redesigned hinge that ’s light to open with a unmarried finger , but also more stable when clear to cut down on screen wobble .
