Paul Ritter, whose film and television credits includeHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,Friday Night Dinnerand the James Bond filmQuantum of Solace, has died. He was 54.
“Paul was an exceptionally talented actor playing an enormous variety of roles on stage and screen with extraordinary skill. He was fiercely intelligent, kind and very funny. We will miss him greatly,” the statement added.

Later this year, Ritter is set to posthumously appear in theFriday Night Dinner10th-anniversary retrospective, according toThe Guardian.
Alongside his various film and television roles, Ritter also performed as a stage actor, accordingtoDeadline.In 2006, he was nominated for an Olivier award for his performance inCoram Boyand for a Tony award for his role inThe Norman Conquestsin 2009.
