With at least threeAvatarmovies still on their way , it ’s dependable to say we still know very small about Pandora . It was just a few year back that we first met the Metkayina , an ocean - based clan inAvatar : The Way of Waterand , later this year , we ’ll meet not justthe fierce , ardour - based Ash clanbut also a more fun , freewheeling air clancalled the Tlalim , also known as Wind Traders inAvatar : Fire and Ash . Today , our first look at that tribe ’s leader was revealed , and he ’s quite beautiful .
Over at Empire , we find our first facial expression at Peylak , the loss leader of the Wind Traders , play byHarry PotterandWonder Womanalum , David Thewlis . “ They ’re upbeat , happy , colourful , ” costume architect Deborah L. Scott tell Empire about the Wind Traders . “ And when they come into our movie , everyone ’s excited to see them . It ’s like the circus is in town . ” We ’d previously seen hints of the tribe via a piece of concept nontextual matter of massive creatures fly in the sky ( see above ) but , it ’s this guy who ’ll be leading them .
The intricate pattern and embellishments on Peylak ’s cloak are meant to take as “ grand , ” fit in to Scott . It seems these Navi have a flair for the spectacular .
How their story intersects with the Sully family , now officially appendage of the Metkayina , or what the struggle is with the Ash Clan , all stay to be see . We ’ll believably get our first glimpse at the film sometime early this summer once posters and trailers set about to vagabond out for the extremely anticipated subsequence . But , for now , we ’ll just have to look at these unexampled Navi creatures and try on to figure out how they ’re going to aid impact the humankind of Pandora .
