Seven months beforeJordyn Woods’ allegedcheating scandalthreatened to destroy her relationship with longtime BFFKylie Jenner, the pair opened up about how they’d managed to stay close for so many years.
During asweet Q&Avideo posted to theKeeping Up with the Kardashiansstar’s YouTube page last July, both pals took turns revealing their secrets to a lasting friendship.
“You just can’t put too much pressure on them,” Woods, 21, replied. “You kind of have to understand each other and be open to communicating with how you feel.”
“Communication and understanding [are] the two things that work with us well,” Jenner, also 21, agreed, adding that the pair also has personalities that mesh well together.
Woods went on to share that no matter how long the duo goes without talking, “nothing” would change between them.
“I can go two days without talking to her, or I can go two weeks without talking to her, but nothing will change,” the model shared, before sharing that they didn’t often go more than “two hours” without talking to each other.
Pointing out another key factor to their enduring relationship, Jenner said that the pair both had “respect for each other.”
During the interview, Jenner and Woods also revealed that their mutual palJaden Smithwas responsible for bringing them together all those years ago.
“She’s known Jaden her whole life, and I met him in middle school. They were best friends. They still are. Whatever,” Jenner playfully sighed, before adding that she was “just kidding.”
“You guys told me to come over one day,” Woods recounted.
“I think we were [in] 8th grade, summer going into 9th grade,” Jenner added. “And then you put your name in my phone with a purple heart, and I still have the purple heart in my phone.”

After news broke thatKhloé Kardashian‘s boyfriendTristan Thompson, with whom the star shares 10-month-old daughterTrue,allegedly hooked up with Woods,sources have told PEOPLEthat Jenner has been distraught over potentially losing her longtime best friend to such a deep betrayal.
“For Kylie, it’s much more difficult. She has basically lost part of her world,” said one source. “She is very, very upset. She always trusted Jordyn with everything.”

Taking their friendship to the next level, in recent years, Woods moved in with Jenner, accompanying her on lavish vacations and helping take care of Jenner’s daughterStormi Webster. Woods and Jenner evengot “married”with a commitment ceremony on a trip to Peru together that was chronicled in the season finale ofLife of Kyliein September 2017.
“Kylie just can’t make sense of what happened,” the source said. “She still has so many questions for Jordyn. Who knows when Kylie will get over this.”
“When they first started hearing on Monday that Tristan made out with Jordyn, no one really believed it,” one source said. “That Tristan would be inappropriate, yes everyone knows that he can’t behave, but that Jordyn would make out with him, it first seemed like a made up rumor.”
“It wasn’t anything they wanted to drop,” the source added. “So several family members reached out to people they believed had been at the party. And they were told it was true.”
Woods made her first public appearance since the scandal broke at the launch event for her Eylure X Jordyn Woods Lashes in Los Angeles on Thursday. Breaking her silence, she told attendees: “Thank you guys for coming out and supporting methrough everything that’s going on. It’s been real, and Eylure has been super real with a project I’ve been working on for over nine months right now.”
However, It doesn’t appear that Jenner intends to forgive Woods anytime soon, though, as multiple sources previously confirmed to PEOPLE thatWoods has moved out of Jenner’s houseand back to her mother’s home. “It’s been a difficult time and she’s broken up about it,” one insider said. “She’s heading home to be with her mom.”
Although the Kylie Cosmetics mogul and her older sisterKendall Jennerstill follows Woods on Instagram, older sistersKhloé,KourtneyandKimhaveunfollowed her.
